Amusing crepe-paper calendars


Takejiro Hasegawa created not only books of crepe paper but also calendars in various sizes and shapes with innovative designs. Some 300 different calendars were produced beginning in the Meiji period (1868-1912). Here are some examples.

A vertical calendar book for 1905 containing designs of Japanese tenugui, or small cotton towels
